The require article for this test is Racial Prejudice Spending on Drug Rehabilitation: The Role of Attitude Toward Blacks and Latinos. The research for this survey was gather through the General Social Survey which means that a large percent of the population of the United State residents took the survey. The data obtain showed that prejudice from now days which involves new labeling to people's culture and the motivation toward everyday life contributes to how they are being targeted and discriminated; it also shows that the money that it is being spend for rehabilitation is link together. Some of the factor that contribute and help address these findings are discrimination and not having the adequate or no-education. All this information about the new way of being prejudice has led the sociologists to think that color coding dose affect when it comes to how the distribution of money toward drug rehabilitation. Because drug has been linked more with Blacks and Hispanics they are target more and the police also contributes to this in some way. The police and or justice system seem to implement worse punishment to Blacks and Hispanics than to any other race group. The article also mentions that there has not been enough research and data that shows the links between prejudice and drug issues. The new data obtain for a new survey regarding the same issue the outcome was deferent, and this new data shows that not enough money is being put for rehabilitation.

The second article that I read is called Neighborhood Disadvantage and Adult Alcohol Outcomes: Differential Risk by Race and Gender. What this survey was looking for, was to find out if the use of alcohol in neighborhoods had something to do with race and gender. The data for this survey was targeting to get answers from adult African American, Whites and Hispanics; this data was obtained from a National Representative random selected sample which they used computer and telephone help to get answers from adults. In this article we can read that Hispanics and African American neighborhoods who have high rates of alcohol don't have good qualitive resources because of discrimination. We can also read that even when White neighborhoods have the same levels of alcohol Their neighborhoods would still have better resources. Table one of the data gather shows that the persons who tent to have a drinking problem are those who are also dealing with other personal problems.  Table two shows how gender and race group also contribute with the responded of heavy drinkers and table three shows how drinking problems are associated with the disadvantages of resource in neighborhoods. What this research found was that heavy drinking and disadvantages in neighborhoods is only associated with African American males and Hispanics males.

Both articles show evidence that in one way or another affect African Americans and Hispanic. The articles also mention that racism has something to do with how African Americans and Hispanics are label. For decades racism has been hiding underneath labels but it seems like little by little it is being uncover and expose for ethnic groups who benefit from it and for ethnic groups that don't benefit from it. These new findings of prejudice are what is being known as modern prejudice. ©©
